Since Clara Barton founded the Red Cross, people in our community have been engaged in helping us to live out our mission to help people prepare for, prevent and respond to emergencies. They give time -- lots of time each year to help people whose lives are changed instantly because of natural disasters. And they are generous, most generous contributors each time we ask for financial support.
