CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and the Health Care Provider—Review
Prerequisite: Students must have current certification. This course provides a review of knowledge and skills for those needing recertification. The instructor will lead practice before testing. A resuscitation (pocket) mask is required. You can purchase a mask online (see related products). POCKET MASKS WILL NOT BE SHIPPED. Your mask will be distributed to you at the training class. Students must provide their own textbook. You can purchase a textbook online (see related products). TEXTBOOKS WILL NOT BE SHIPPED. Your textbook will be distributed to you at the training class. If you purchase a pocket mask and/or textbook from the instructor at the time of class, you must bring cash (exact change), check or money order. The instructor cannot accept a credit card.
After successful completion of your training, you'll be issued a certificate valid for one or two years:
- One-year certificates are issued to seasonal workers such as lifguards, camp personnel, and ski patrol.
- Two-year certificates are issued to those who are in a position to use CPR/AED skills on a regular basis due to job responsibilities. This applies to nurses, nursing students, doctors, dentists, dental personnel, EMTs, massage therapists, fitness instructors, and high-school coaches.
