RED CROSS OFFERS EARTHQUAKE PREPAREDNESS TIPS

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Wednesday, June 23, 2010 — Would you know what to do in the event of an Earthquake? Be Red Cross Ready with preparedness tips from the American Red Cross. 

 

“Disasters can happen at anytime, anywhere,” said Leighton Jones, Director of Disaster & Emergency Services of the American Red Cross Finger Lakes Region.” Just as many of us experienced the minor earthquake that struck upstate New York this afternoon. The mission of the Red Cross is to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies, and we have safety tips people can utilize to do so.”

 

Be Red Cross Ready Preparedness Help Tips offer information on how to stay safer before, during and after specific disasters and emergencies.
