“What took minutes to destroy will take many years to rebuild,” said John Buttrill, CEO of the Greater Rochester Red Cross. “We know that the relief operation in Haiti is going to require an extensive long term development and the Red Cross will be there to help. Thanks to the support of events like this and all who put so much into it, the people of Haiti will continue to receive supplies, medical aid, emotional support, and much more.”
“We at InterVol are proud of the way that the Rochester community has truly worked together to help the people of Haiti,” said Ralph Pennino, MD, President and Co-Founder of InterVol. “Within nine days of the quake we were able to send down a team of healthcare professionals and over 4,500 lbs of medical supplies. While in Haiti I have seen this group of docs, nurses and allied medical personnel do remarkable things with few assets.”
