What: More hope and help is being raised for the relief efforts in Haiti from the Rochester community. The Eastman Kodak Charitable Trust today announced a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross International Relief Fund to help survivors of the earthquake that impacted 3 million people in Haiti on Tuesday, January 12.

Background: The $100,000 donation from the Eastman Kodak Charitable Trust puts the amount raised from community businesses and individuals for Haiti over $345,000. Fund raising through the local Red Cross for the people of Haiti started last Thursday.
“No words can fully describe the challenges facing the people of Haiti,” said Essie L. Calhoun, Chief Diversity & Community Affairs Officer, who serves as President of the Eastman Kodak Charitable Trust. “It’s our hope that this donation from the Trust will help the Red Cross relieve some of the suffering in Haiti.”
