RED CROSS VOLUNTEERS RESPOND TO TWO FIRES OVER WEEKEND

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Monday, August 31, 2009 - Red Cross volunteers were called to two house fires over the weekend. The first fire was in the city of Rochester, and the other in East Bloomfield, Ontario County. At this time, the Red Cross is helping 12 people (two families) with shelter, food, and clothing. 

 

14 Elm Street, #48 East Bloomfield, Ontario County – Saturday, 8/29/09 10:30 p.m.
Red Cross volunteers were called to help a family of four at 14 Elm St. #48 East Bloomfield Holcomb Apartments in Ontario County Saturday night. Red Cross Disaster Service volunteers responded to the scene to help a mother and her three children. Red Cross volunteers conducted a damage assessment of the home. At this time, the Red Cross is providing emergency assistance of shelter, food, and clothing to the family.

 

78 Linnet Street, Rochester, NY – 8/31/09 12:30 a.m.
Red Cross volunteers were called to help a family at 78 Linnet Street in Rochester late last night. Red Cross Disaster Service volunteers responded to the scene to help a family of nine; two adults and seven children. Red Cross volunteers conducted a damage assessment of the home. At this time, the Red Cross is providing emergency assistance of shelter and food to the family.
