RED CROSS DISASTER TEAM RESPONDS TO TWO FIRES
OVER WEEKEND

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Monday, August 24, 2009 - Red Cross volunteers were called to two house fires over the weekend and helped seven people after they were burned out of their homes. 

 

23 W. Church St., Fairport, NY – 8/21/09 6:30 p.m. 
Red Cross volunteers were called to help a family at five at 23 West Church Street in Fairport Friday evening. Red Cross Disaster Service volunteers responded to the scene to help two adults and three children. Red Cross volunteers conducted a damage assessment of the home. At this time, the Red Cross is providing emergency assistance of shelter and food to the family.

 

22 Maridanna Dr., Rochester, NY – 8/21/09 11:30 p.m.
Red Cross volunteers were called to help a family at 22 Maridanna Drive in Rochester late Friday night. Red Cross Disaster Service volunteers responded to the scene to help one adult and one child. Red Cross volunteers conducted a damage assessment of the home. At this time, the Red Cross is providing emergency assistance of shelter, food, and clothing to the family.
