ROCHESTER, N.Y., Thursday, August 13, 2009 — Red Cross volunteers were called to a house fire at 6 Roosevelt Street today. Red Cross Disaster Service volunteers responded to the scene to aid two people one adult woman and her child. Red Cross volunteers also conducted a damage assessment of the home. At this time, the Red Cross is providing emergency assistance of shelter and food to the family.
