RED CROSS DISASTER TEAM RESPONDS TO 2 FIRES OVERNIGHT

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Thursday, July 29 - The Red Cross is helping two families (seven people) get back on their feet after they were burned out of their homes due to fires last night. The Red Cross is proving emergency services of shelter, food, and clothing to the families.

 

326 Bennington Street, Rochester, NY – 7/28/09 9 p.m.
Red Cross volunteers were called to a house fire at 326 Bennington Street last night. Red Cross Disaster Service volunteers responded to the scene to aid one adult and her four children. Red Cross volunteers also conducted a damage assessment of the home. At this time, the Red Cross is providing emergency assistance of food and clothing to the family.

 

71 Crombie Street, Rochester, NY – 7/29/09 9:30 a.m.
Red Cross volunteers were called to help a family at 71 Crombie Street this morning. The couple had a house fire at 4 a.m. Red Cross Disaster Service volunteers responded to the scene to help two adults, a husband and wife. Red Cross volunteers conducted a damage assessment of the home. At this time, the Red Cross is providing emergency assistance of shelter, food and clothing to the family.
