Red Cross deploys three more volunteers
ROCHESTER, N.Y., August 30, 2011—The Finger Lakes NY Region of the Red Cross is deploying three more volunteers to assist in the relief efforts following Tropical Storm Irene. The following are being deployed:
Sadie Geisler will be training staff at Albany Head Quarters. Sadie is departing August 31st – US Air at 7:12am from Greater Rochester International Airport. She will be available at 5:45am prior to departure.
Elvis Hernandez will be working as a Client Caseworker at New York City Head Quarters. Elvis is departing August 31st – Delta at 10:15am from Greater Rochester International Airport. He will be available at 8:45am prior to departure.
Christine Steerman will be working as a Mental Health Manager at National Head Quarters in Washington D.C.. Christine is departing September 1st – US Air at 5:30pm from Greater Rochester International Airport. She will be available at 4:00pm prior to departure.
The Red Cross is ready to continue its sheltering efforts as long as they’re needed.
