Red Cross sends Pittsford volunteer to southern cleanup areas;

assists local family with fire response

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Thursday, May 12, 2011—The Red Cross is deploying Holly Geary of Pittsford to St. Louis, Missouri to assist families displaced by the Mississippi River flooding. She will serve as a Health Services Supervisor. Geary will depart from the Greater Rochester International Airport today. She will be available at the Greater Rochester Red Cross Chapter, at 50 Prince Street, from 7:00 pm until 7:30 pm.

 

Locally, the Red Cross assisted one adult and one child at a house fire this morning at Oriole Street. The Red Cross provided the family with food, clothing, and shelter.
