Red Cross sends three more volunteers to tornado cleanup zones
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Tuesday, May 3, 2011—The Red Cross is deploying three additional volunteers to assist with cleanup efforts in the south. The following individuals will depart tomorrow for up to three weeks:
- Nicholas Croce of Fairport will report to Birmingham, Alabama to work as a Client Caseworker. He will leave Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from Greater Rochester International Airport.
- Carol Preston of Penfield will also report to Birmingham. She will be functioning as a Mental Health Service Associate. Preston will be departing from Greater Rochester International Airport at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
- Sarah Perkins of Henrietta, who recently returned from deployment in North Carolina, will be redeployed to Washington, DC to function as a Disaster Assessment Manager. Perkins will be assisting at the Disaster Operation Center in Washington D.C. for the Alabama Disaster Relief Operation. She will departing from Greater Rochester International Airport at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Red Cross volunteers will be available for interview at the Greater Rochester International Airport 90 minutes before their flight time.
