KEEP FIDO SAFE! REGISTER FOR PET FIRST AID

 

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y., Tuesday, August 3, 2010 – Register today for American Red Cross Pet First Aid. 

Saturday, August 7; 9 am - noon at the Greater Rochester Chapter, 50 Prince St. Rochester OR Saturday, August 21; 9 am – noon at the American Red Cross Office in West Ontario County, 5297 Parkside Drive, Canandaigua. Sign up for the course closest to you.

 

“Red Cross Pet First Aid is designed to train dog and cat owners how to respond to life-threatening emergencies such as choking, poisoning, and exposure to extreme weather conditions,” said Janet Jones-Brower, Director of Safety Training at the Greater Rochester Red Cross.

 

Participants will use life-like dog and cat manikins to learn how to perform pet CPR and First Aid, recognize symptoms, provide care for common pet emergencies such as allergic reactions, administer medications, stock a Pet First Aid Kit, and more.
