Our Mission

The Greater Rochester Chapter of the American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, to provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to other emergencies.

We recognize the value and role of other community-based organizations in fulfilling our mission, and we partner with them to expand our impact in our neighborhoods. The Red Cross is for all people and we do our utmost to reach all communities providing lifesaving programs and services.
